What do the Premed, Dr + Hyg, New patient and Early tags mean?

Updated October 29, 2026 · VisitPing 3.3.2

They're small reminders on a patient's card, read from Open Dental.

  • Premed: check premedication before seating (the Premed box on the patient).
  • Dr + Hyg: they see both the doctor and hygiene today. They show once, for whichever visit comes first.
  • New patient: their first visit (the New Patient flag on the appointment).
  • Early: they arrived 10 or more minutes early. The card counts down to their time.
  • Family: two or more people in the same family are here at overlapping times.
