How do backups work, and how do we restore?

Updated October 29, 2026 · VisitPing 3.3.2

In Settings › Backups, choose a folder on a different drive or a network share and set a passphrase (keep it in your password manager). VisitPing backs up every night, encrypted.

To restore, stop VisitPing and drag the .pfbak file onto Restore backup.bat. A backup carries everything needed to restore onto a new server.
