Why does everything fold into the bubble when I click into Open Dental?

So Open Dental is clear while you work. The panel, sticky notes and request cards tuck into the small bubble, which stays on top and keeps the count (notes and requests waiting). Click the bubble to bring everything back.

A new request still pops out, and folds back in after 10 seconds if nobody answers, leaving the red number. A due sticky note pops out until you tap Done or Snooze.
