Does VisitPing change anything in Open Dental?

Updated October 29, 2026 · VisitPing 3.3.2

No. VisitPing connects with a read-only database login and never writes to Open Dental. It reads what the screens need: appointments, statuses, ops and providers; balances, insurance, claims, recall and treatment plans for the front desk; medical alerts for the op; Open Dental users for sign-in; and the time clock for who's available.

Changing a status still happens in Open Dental, and every screen follows it within seconds.
